About Mills & Edwards, LLP
Recognized by our peers as a top litigation firm, our success is the result of hard work, perseverance, a competitive spirit and a fierce determination to succeed. Equally important to us is the trust and respect we have earned from clients, Judges, jurors, and colleagues, as well as from opposing counsel.
People matter most. “Results with integrity,” our firm motto, is our lodestar—a constant reminder of what it means to behave ethically and to treat people with respect. It also guides our decisions on what cases to accept and in how we handle them.
Importance of initial consultations
Consultations are an opportunity to begin to assess the merits of a case, explain the legal process, answer questions, and provide an informed opinion about options and possible outcomes. There is no charge for this service.
Case selection process
Deciding whether or not to take a case is based on many factors, including the time and resources that will be required and what other cases our firm is committed to. Part of the evaluation process often requires retaining reputable experts, specialists and investigators to provide us with objective information. We welcome complex cases, which are pursued with the unique skill and expertise they require. Once we accept a case, it receives the firm’s full and undivided attention.
We frequently consult and collaborate with other lawyers and law firms around the country—from discussing trial strategy to taking depositions. Because of our many close relationships with other firms, if there is a case outside of our areas of expertise, or our schedule is full, we can recommend one of our colleagues.
